Here are some of the comments made by
participants on the flirting weekend in Amsterdam 2001. They
were asked what particular features of the weekend will be most useful
to you and how do you intend to put your learnings into action.
They were also asked to sum up the day and say what they gained from
it. Remember most of these people were writing in a second
language! Participants hailed from far and wide including the
Netherlands, England, Wales, Australia, Greece and Belgium.
"Discovering how empowered I feel
by the question "How am I when I am at my best" was
great. I will remember this each day when I need to
give myself a boost. I found the whole workshop very enjooyable
and a very supportive environment for trying new things"
"For me the parts about becoming
aware of yoruself [How are you at your best] your body language
and different energies and those of others, were most useful. I
will try to become more aware of myself and of others as I interact with
them. It was wonderful to meet all these different people
that came here with the same intent, to learn about themselves and
others"
"I had a wonderful time, laughed more than I can remember, and learned a great deal. Aside from the great flirting techniques, I think the workshop was a fantastic way to break down the barriers in connecting and getting to know people, barriers which often stop us from doing so much and getting the most from life, and generally being playful and having fun."

The most useful thing for me was
changing the voice in my head to a sweet and positive one as well as
remembering the question and feeling 'How are you when you are at your
best?"
"Eye contact - so important and
something I will have to practice. Your enthusiasm seems
unstoppable. It encouraged me to focus attention on those areas of
my life that I wish to change. It helped me to clarify my goals
and instilled the belief that in myself is the core of the matter and
everything else should spring from that."
"Most useful to me was learning
what's my best, that I can create the good feeling and the power which
is in it and how to deal with getting compliments - giving is no
problem". People [including myself] grow when they feel good.
"I am giving myself an assignment
to give every day at least 2 compliments - one to myself and one to
someone else. I am going to play around with finding the
particular posture that suits me and gives me a good feeling and explore
how I am when I am at my best. I learnt that first flirting
with yourself and then another person works. I learned to observe
and instead of tthe stupid voice in my head I think "I am as I am
and that's fine"

other people's energys and feelings, accessing your best self and
learning how to connnect naturally"
"I lreally enjoyed getting
compliments and earned much from the idea that I can smile to myself and
give others compliments and think of myself as a strong person. I
aim to just do it and start tomorrow."
"The most useful thing for me was
'how are you when you are at your best and using affirmative feedback to
get others into that state. I liked the trick of giving someone a
compliment and walking away. I gained some tools, alas no magic
want. BUT by battling to use these tools, the victory will be totally
mine"

Peta to be a very good trainer. You really know how to deal
with all those different people. Loved the eye contact exercise
and intend to do this more often.. also found 'how you are at your best'
