I
love my family because...
My
mother Shelagh
is 78, a wonderful
mother AND looks gorgeous. She is loving, good fun and very
flirty. (She has lots of admirers among their men friends but
the women love her just as much!). She loves to, talk, read
biographies and books on alternative health. She gives
splendidly creative dinner parties. Shelagh loves to socialise
and watch TV! She dresses in designer clothes and has a belief
that there's no such thing as 'can't be done'!
My father John
has an outrageous and
cheeky sense of humour and is very clever. He would have loved
to have been an actor or an opera singer. His hobbies are
watching TV with my mother while tickling her toes, socialising,
playing with his computer, share dealing, collecting hoovers and
ironing my mother's silk underwear! My father is so cool he once
sent me a card on the anniversary of the date I lost my
virginity. Maybe that's why they stay so young in heart and
body. They know how to enjoy life and have a good laugh.
David, my
brother, is successful,
hardworking and has a wicked sense of humour. My brother and I
got into plenty of outrageous adventures as children and have
always had a lot of fun being with each other.. David has been
round the world a few times. He is a brilliant mimic, works for
a large consultancy on major IT projects and enjoys a good
night out ! He also makes a mean treacle tart!
The greatest
gift my family gave was to love me unconditionally and to show
me how to look at life with a sense of humour, fun and childlike
wonder. They also gave me support, an appetite for reading, a
love of socialising and they
encouraged me to flirt wildly!
Not bad eh?
Hello,
I'm Jeffwee.
I was rescued from the Mayhew
Animal Home in Cricklewood, North London (they are lovely people
- 0208 969 0178). I am 8, and I am
FIV positively healthy.
Peta says I was sent to show her about looking
on the bright side of life, the power of unconditional love and how to be so
affectionate and loving that everyone wants to be with me.
I'm living with my dad now and I spend my days purring or
sleeping, I am psychic and I was known as the most affectionate
cat in the Mayhew home.
Hey,
purring makes me feel good and when I feel good my immune system gets
boosted which is
why I lived for 11 years with FIV. Now I'm in kitty heaven.
humans should learn to "purr" more.
Creating
our own families
David is my
'adopted' son. We live in the same building and have become
such great friends, we decided to adopt each
other. David is 27 and one of those rare
genius personalities. Not only is he a talented musician
who plays loads of instruments, he writes and produces his own
songs, he sings, and he's bringing out his own first single in
2001. He's been at music college for 3 weeks and already
they've asked him to teach there next year. But he won't be
because he's determined to produce the number 1 hit single and
he's already written it. He's even written and recorded a
raunchy song about me and the Flirting Academy.
David's
also a talented graphic designer - he did the original logo for the
Flirting Academy AND he's one of the best flirts I've met.
Watch out for him on the
music circuit. In light of his impending mega-stardom, I
never cease to remind him that the first
thing that pop stars do when they get a big hit is to buy
their mum a house!!!! I'm thinking SW London, close
to the River, 5 or 6 bedrooms, garage, garden, several
bathrooms.. get the picture!!
Lesley
is my adopted sister. I have known her
for nearly 40 years. I
have formed my own family bond with Lesley and her
husband Brian. My parents have even adopted them - we've done
our own certificate! Lesley and I, have shared so
much fun, excitement and adventures over the years. Lesley is
one of the kindest, most caring, and flirtiest people I have
ever met. She has the ability to make everyone who meets her
leave with a glow It is a skill that can be modelled and learnt.
Lesley attends all my flirting playshops as a
model and encouragement to people. Her support is
wonderful and certainly makes a great difference to
participants.
Until a couple of years ago, Lesley and Brian
ran a pharmacy in London’s exclusive Maida Vale, home to the
rich and famous. Lesley has helped and befriended a host of
people. Her social circle ranges from the rich and famous to the
poor and unemployed.
When they sold their shop after 25 years, the
residents of Maida Vale were grief stricken. Somehow they
didn’t see themselves getting QUITE the same service at Boots!
Lesley remembers EVERYONE’s birthday and is extremely artistic
and creative.
They live with their rescued cat, Dennis
Mennis Wooditat or as Lesley calls him ‘my little prince’!
Lesley and Brian now spend their time jetting between their
homes in Portugal and the UK.
Some of our best holidays have been taken at
Lesley and Brian’s villa in Portugal. Sitting by the pool,
walking along the beach and relaxing in the nature reserve,
chatting, having outrageous laughs, meeting interesting people,
cooking for friends and eating out together. What's the point of
all this? Its about friendship...
Friends
are wonderful and we can cultivate, respect and cherish them for
they offer us unlimited wells of love, support, joy and fun!
Even if you are disappointed in or estranged from your
family, you can choose
to create other ‘families’ and extend relationships beyond
the boundaries of tradition. We
are the sole creators of our existence – what fun to play with
it!
