Peta Heskell is Britain’s FIRST Flirt Coach [she invented the name and concept of Flirt Coaching and chose 'Flirt Coach' as a title for her first book ]. She is founder of the UK Flirting Academy in 1998 and regularly facilitates Flirting Weekend courses and Activate your Attraction Power weekends.
She is the author of Flirt Coach (Thorsons 2001), The Little Book of Flirting (Thorsons Element 2002 Oct 7th) and The Flirt Coach’s Guide to Finding the Love you Want (Thorsons Element February 2003).

She has a private coaching practice in SW London and is often consulted as a body language and relationship expert.
Peta writes a sex column for ‘Brides’ magazine and is the body language expert for New Woman . She also has a column in in the worlds best known flirting site Flirt.com.

Peta’s background is firmly rooted in the ever growing field of personal development.In the last 17 years she has trained with some of the world’s finest personal development experts. She is a licensed trainer of NLP [if you’re into ‘qualifications’] and a licensed Mythoself tm facilitator. She is a model of what she teaches and used her own techniques to ‘pull’ her partner as well as create her own career and lifestyle.
At the age of 24 Peta was assistant editor of the sex magazine Forum. She has also been a restaurateur, a training manager and a computer software trainer. In the past she has worked in the music business, advertising, PR, publishing and nightclubs
Peta believes that flirting is ‘being who you are, loving yourself, giving out the glow and wanting to connect with other people in a positive and happy way’. The best flirts do it with everyone and that flirting is not just for sex but can be used to help you be more successful in every area of your life.
Peta has been running Flirting Weekends in the UK, the US and Europe for five years. The courses and coaching are designed to enhance self esteem, generate confidence, encourage positive interaction with others, and stir the deepest passions inside. The courses are highly experiential and designed to activate confidence, and playfulness. Peta’s courses are attended by a broad cross section of society including therapists, writers, accountants, dancers, doctors, lawyers, housewives bus drivers and mechanics! Ages of participants range from 23 to 65 with a core majority of thirties and forties. Peta’s trainings are riotous, outrageous and a lot of fun [and the learning just slips in between the laughs].
Peta changed her own career and life at the age of 45 and believes that there is hope for everyone to be and do exactly what brings them the most joy. She recently passed her motorbike test [aged 52] after five tries and occasionally writes for a scooter magazine about her experiences.
TV
She is a frequent guest on TV shows and has been a confidence coach in two recent documentaries for ITV. In 2003 she appeared as a dating coach in ITV’s ‘For Love or Money’ and ITV’s ’18-30 Stoners’. Over the last three years, she has guested on GMTV, Good Morning, Richard & Judy, Trisha, Big Brother Little Brother, Pop Stars the Rivals, Kilroy, Heaven and Earth, The Wright Stuff, Terry and Gabi. She has provided commentary for C4′s ’100 Worst Britons’ and ITV’s recent documentary about Frank Bruno.
Channel 4 broadcast a documentary about her flirt school in 1999. The Academy and Peta have been featured in most of the major glossy magazines from Cosmo through Elle, Real, and Men’s Health. Articles on her have appeared in the Times, the Guardian, The Independent,The Sunday Telegraph, the Sun, the Mail and the Mirror. Two of her books, Flirt Coach and Little Book of Flirting were serialised in the Daily Mail and her latest book, Secrets of Attraction is published on February 4th 2004 in the UK and April 2004 in the USA.
Radio
Peta is regularly asked to contribute to radio shows throughout the country.
She has broadcase on Nicky Campbell’s morning show on Five Live, Steve Wright in the afternoon on Radio 2, Johnny Walker’s Drive Time to name a few. She also did two Shoptalk series for Radio 4 one about emotions at work and the other about parties. She’s done several ‘my thoughts on the glossy mags’ on Southern Counties on Sunday mornings and is a guest counsellor on their Sound Advice programme.
She’s a frequent guest on BBC Radio London and has contributed to shows with Sadie Nine, Eddie Nestor, Lowri Turner and the Book Show on BBC Radio London .

Peta has never been married but has had several long term relationships including one of 15 years, all of which she describes as learning experiences. Currently she is single and loving it.

Peta has also taken her work to the corporate arena and runs tailored courses to help companies foster good feeling and camaraderie in the workplace. Previous clients include BMW, Virgin Trains, BT, Cap Gemini and Intercontinental Hotels. She also runs a corporate ‘flirting for success’ course via Oddball Training.
